Telegram
What it does
Receives Telegram bot messages and lets operators reply to them from Evercom. It is the most complete external channel integration.
When to use it
Use Telegram when customers already contact your business through a bot.
How it works
An owner or admin connects a bot token. The backend verifies the token with Telegram, stores a token reference, and uses per-account webhooks to route updates. Inbound updates are normalized and written as contacts, conversations, and messages, so Telegram conversations appear alongside those from the website widget.
How to connect
- Open Settings → Channels → Telegram.
- As an owner or admin, provide a bot token.
- Evercom verifies the token with Telegram and registers the webhook automatically.
Once connected, inbound bot messages flow into Evercom and operators can reply.
Where to configure it
Settings → Channels → Telegram
